در گزارشی که رسانههای چینی به آن پرداختهاند، اشاره میشود که هواوی در مراحل نهایی آزمایش فناوری جدیدی به نام لنز مایع است. فناوری لنز مایع به بهبود عملکرد دوربین در زمینههای مختلف کمک میکند. مهمترین آنها، تثبیتکننده تصویر یا پایدارکننده نگاره و همچنین امکان فوکوس سریع و دقیقتر روی سوژهها عنوان میشود.

عملکرد
باید در توضیح عملکرد لنز مایع گفت زمان مورد نیاز برای فوکوس روی سوژهها به چند میلیثانیه کاهش مییابد، درنتیجه دوربین گوشی هوشمند قادر به فوکوس روی سوژهها با دقت عملکرد چشم انسان خواهد شد. گفته میشود لنز مایع ابتدا در دوربین تلهفوتو استفاده می شود. در این فرایند ماژول دوربین به جای حرکت دادن لنزها با اعمال ولتاژ، شکل و ظاهر مایع را تغییر داده و امکان فوکوس روی سوژه را میسر می سازد.
در این فناوری دوربین گوشی هوشمند قادر به فوکوس روی سوژهها با دقت عملکرد چشم انسان خواهد شد
این فناوری باعث می شود ماژول دوربین برخوردار از لنز مایع در برابر شوک الکتریکی مقاومت بیشتری نسبت به موتورهای فوکوس فعلی داشته باشد. گویا از اولین حسگرهایی که مجهز به لنز مایع خواهد شد، حسگر سونی IMX782 است. در گزارش اشارهای نشده است که اولین گوشی هوشمند برخوردار از دوربین با لنز مایع، کدام یک از محصولات هواوی خواهد بود. بااینحال دور از انتظار نیست که شرکت چینی در مدلهای جدید سری پی یا سری میت از این فناوری استفاده کند.
