نماینده مردم مشهد و کلات در مجلس شورای اسلامی گفت: در مشهد بیش از 50 درصد آب آشامیدنی مردم از چاهها و 46 تا 47 درصد آن از سد دوستی استخراج میشود. با این حال برق مایه حیات است. سه میلیارد متر مکعب در سال توسط دستگاههای آب شیرین کن، آب تصفیه میشود که این با کمک انرژی برق صورت میگیرد.

یعقوبی افزود: بخش رقابتی در بازار برق امروز مطرح است و فضای رقابتی بین نیروگاهها در سطح کشور وجود دارد. قطعا نیروگاهی که میخواهد در چرخه تولید انرژی بماند، نیازمند برخی پیش بینیهاست و باید تعمیرات دوره ای و پروژههای بهینه سازی داشته باشد. در صورتی که این برنامهها محقق شود، خروجی آن به شکل کاهش نرخ خروج اضطراری و پایداری انرژی حاصل میشود.
