دفن بهداشتی حدود 700 تن پسماند پزشکی در مشهد
به طور متوسط ماهیانه نزدیک به 700 تن پسماند پزشکی از بیمارستان‌ها، کلینیک‌ها و مطب‌های پزشکی در سطح شهر، توسط سازمان مدیریت پسماند شهرداری مشهد به شیوه بهداشتی دفن می‌شود.
به گزارش صبح امروز، با توجه به ازدیاد این نوع پسماندها، ماه گذشته بهره برداری از دومین گودال مخصوص پسماند های بیمارستانی و عفونی با ظرفیت 60 هزار متر مکعب در محل دفن در مجتمع صنعتی شماره دو در کیلومتر 35 جاده‌ی مشهد –میامی آغاز شده است.
این سازمان پسماندهای بی خطر سازی شده ۳۲ بیمارستان را جمع‌آوری و در گودال پسماندهای پزشکی دفن می‌کند. جمع‌آوری و بی‌خطرسازی زباله‌های پزشکی در مطب‌ها و کلینیک‌ها نیز بر عهده دو شرکت بخش خصوصی طرف قرارداد دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهد است که این شرکت‌ها پس از بی‌خطرسازی زباله‌های پزشکی، آنها را به محل گودال‌های یاد شده منتقل می‌کنند.
