جامعه شناسی چشم وهم چشمی

از جمله خصوصیاتی که در فرهنگ ایرانی به طور چشمگیری ریشه دوانده پدیده چشموهمچشمی و تقلید از دیگران در اعمال، رفتار و روش زندگی است. در ایران پیدایش چشموهمچشمی به حدود یکصد سال قبل، همزمان با ایجاد شکاف در شیوه زندگی ناشی از تقابل سنت و مدرنیسم مربوط میشود. به دنبال آن، بهبود اوضاع اقتصادی و گسترش فزایندة طبقه متوسط سبب حاکمیت فرهنگ مصرفی در بین مردم شد. امروزه لذت و کامجویی از زندگی تبدیل به یک خواسته قطعی شده و این لذت بدون داشتن کالاهای مصرفی و شرایط زیستآرمانی کموبیش غیرممکن مینماید. به نظر میرسد عواملی مانند: پیشرفت وضعیت اقتصادی، توسعه پدیدة شهرنشینی، الگوبرداری از سلبریتیها، مهاجرت و مسافرت به خارج از کشور، رشد سریع انواع رسانهها و نیز توسعه صنعت مُد و برند، سبک زندگی همراه با لذت در جامعه را با سرعت بسیاری گسترش داده است. بنابراین، وضعیتی شبیه یک مسابقه برای متفاوت بودن و تفاخر در بین افراد جامعه به وجودآمده که میتوان از آن به چشموهمچشمی نوین تعبیر نمود.
