به نظر میرسد دستکم دو قرن لازم است تا [امام و] تاثیری که ایشان در جامعه بشریت گذاشته دقیقا ارزشیابی شود.
امام رهبر منحصر به فردی بود که در اوج ناباوری تحلیل گران بینالمللی در حالی که دستاندرکاران و نظریهپردازان توسعه سیاسی در غرب در دهههای 1960 و 1970 بهطور کلی به تحولات سیاسی و دینی در ایران و سایر کشورهای بیاعتنا بودند، با عقاید مذهبی که غرب آنها را کهنه و قرون و سطایی میدانست جهان را تکان داد و شرق و غرب را لرزانید و میراثی بر جای گذاشت که هنوز زنده و فعال است. وی توانست اثر بزرگی در تاریخ جهان بر جای بگذارد و بیتردید جهانیان همچنان تحت تاثیر انقلاب معنوی او قرار دارند.
رهبر کبیر انقلاب اسلامی که از صبر و استقامت محمدی صلیالله علیه واله وسلم، زهد و عدالت علوی و تدبیر حسنی علیهالسلام و توکل و شجاعت حسینی علیهالسلام درسها فرا گرفته و توشهها به همراه داشت با تاییدات و عنایات خاصه حضرت ولیعصر- ارواحنا فداه-
در نزدیک شدن انسان به خدا فصل جدیدی را گشود و با حمایت مردم انقلاب اسلامی را که نقطه عطف مهمی در تاریخ قرن بیستم است، به سرانجام پیروزمندانهای رساند.
امام مفهوم فرهنگ فرمانبری جامعه را تغییر داد، دیوار ترس را شکست و مردم را به سوی چشمه پاک فطرت الهی هدایت کرد… او جهانبینی مذهبی را احیا و نور ایمان را روشن کرد و بزرگترین حماسه عظیم فداکاری عصر ما را به وجود آورد.
تاثیرگذاری امام و انقلاب اسلامی بر حیات معنوی انسان معاصر آنچنان عمیق و گسترده ارزیابی میگردد که میتوان گفت: انقلاب امام خمینی حتی سیر تطوری انسان را تغییر داد.
