سردرآوردن از زندگی دختران «بالاشهری» برایم یک آرزو بود، به همین دلیل گاهی مانتوی کوتاه دوستم را قرض می گرفتم و با اتوبوس به منطقه بالاشهر مشهد می آمدم تا رفتارها و نوع پوشش دخترانی را تجربه کنم که گویی هیچ مشکلی در زندگی شان ندارند و همواره در حال تفریح و خوش گذرانی هستند.
وقتی به خانه بازمی گشتم، رفتارم تغییر می کرد و با مادرم به مشاجره می پرداختم که چرا من فقط باید با رویای داشتن یک خودرو و منزلی زیبا زندگی کنم؟ مادر بیچاره ام در تمام فصل های سال با پاک کردن کشمش و زعفران یا بسته بندی آجیل به مخارج زندگی کمک می کرد و پدر کارگرم نیز با دستان پینه بسته اش، لقمه ای نان حلال را سر سفره می گذاشت، در حالی که لوازم آرایش آن دختران به اندازه چند ماه پول کارگری پدرم بود.
به مادرم می گفتم دیگر از این وضعیت خسته شده ام، نه مسافرتی و نه تفریحی! دیگر حوصله این خانه دلگیر را ندارم این بود که دوباره زیراندازی را داخل کیفم گذاشتم و سوار بر اتوبوس، راهی پارک ملت شدم تا برای ساعتی از گل و گیاه و فضاهای سرسبز لذت ببرم.
در گوشه پارک نشسته و به برگ های زیبای درختان خیره شده بودم که یکی از همان دختران بالاشهری با لباس های شیک و جذاب، لبخندزنان به سوی من آمد. او بی مقدمه از من اجازه گرفت تا به خاطر کمردردش چند دقیقه روی زیراندازم استراحت کند. با آه جانسوزی گفتم راحت باش، از همه نعمت های خدا همین یک زیرانداز سهم من شده است. خندید و گفت: چقدر ناامیدی! این گونه صحبت من و «آزیتا» گل کرد.
او از سفرها و وضعیت خانوادگی اش می گفت و من سراپا گوش شده بودم. ساعتی بعد شماره ای بین ما رد و بدل شد و من به خانه بازگشتم. عصر همان روز «آزیتا» تلفنی مرا به یک مهمانی شبانه دعوت کرد . او سپس اجازه مرا از مادرم گرفت و من نزد آزیتا رفتم. با دستانی لرزان، زنگ منزل را به صدادرآوردم.
خانه زیبای آن ها مانند قصری بود و من خودم را «سیندرلا» احساس می کردم. لباس های شیک و مجلسی آزیتا را پوشیده بودم اما هنوز مهمانان نیامده بودند. فقط به خاطر دارم که بعد از آرایش غلیظ، آزیتا با شربت از من پذیرایی کرد. دیگر چیزی نفهمیدم تا این که خودم را با همان لباس‌های زننده در کلانتری دیدم. ماموران ما را در یک پارتی مختلط دستگیر کرده بودند.
