نوروزی، سخنگوی کمیسیون قضایی و حقوقی مجلس: مجازات اعدام برای تولید و توزیع ۱۰۰ کیلوگرم موادمخدر سنتی و ۲ کیلوگرم موادمخدر صنعتی تصویب شد.
همچنین مجازات اعدام در مورد سایر جرایم ماده 8 این قانون (قانون مبارزه با موادمخدر) در صورتی که موادمخدر مذکور صدور، ارسال، خرید، مخفی کردن، نگهداری، حمل یا در معرض فروش قرار گرفته بیش از 5 کیلوگرم باشد صادر می‌شود.
