این در حالی است که شرایط دشوار اقتصادی در سال‌هاي اخير و نرخ تورم بالا باعث شده براي بسياري از جوانان مقدور نباشد که نسبت به انجام اين امر مبارک اقدام کنند. هزينه برگزاري مراسم، تأمين مسكن، تهيه لوازم خانگي و… برخي از مواردي است كه قيمت همه آن‌ها در سال‌هاي اخير با افزايش‌هاي قابل توجهي روبرو بوده است. اين مسئله باعث شده برخي از جوانان هر چند تمايل به ازدواج دارند، اما از آنجايي كه امكان پرداخت اين قبيل هزينه‌ها را ندارند، نتوانند ازدواج كنند و حتي نسبت به آن تا حدي هراس داشته باشند. هراسي كه بيش از هر چه، ريشه اقتصادي دارد.
یکی از مواردی که برای تسهيل ازدواج جوانان در نظر گرفته شده، وام‌هاي قرض‌الحسنه ازدواج است. ممکن است اين وام‌ها نتوانند تمام هزينه‌هاي مورد نياز براي يک ازدواج را پوشش دهند، اما از آنجايي كه در سال‌هاي گذشته با افزايش مبلغ روبرو بوده و تا حدي نرخ تورم را پوشش داده‌اند، قطعاً براي جواناني كه قصد ازدواج دارند، كمك‌هزينه مناسبي محسوب مي‌شوند.

بانک مهر ایران تنها در سال جاری نزدیک به ۱۴هزار و ۵۰۰ فقره تسهیلات ازدواج به ارزش ۷۵۰۰ ميليارد ريال پرداخت کرده است. اين بانک در مجموع ۳۲۰هزار فقره تسهيلات به ارزش تقريبي ۲۸هزار ميليارد ريال پرداخت كرده است. گفتني است بانك مهر ايران همواره پيشگام اجرايي كردن افزايش مبلغ تسهيلات قرض‌الحسنه ازدواج بوده و در سال‌هايي كه اين افزايش مبلغ تصويب شده، پيش از ساير بانك‌ها نسبت به اعمال آن اقدام كرده است.
طرح ویژه بانک مهر ایران برای تسهیل ازدواج جوانان
البته بانک مهر ایران تنها به پرداخت تسهیلات متعارف ازدواج بسنده نکرده و در این زمینه «طرح پيوند مهر ايران» را نيز اجرا مي‌کند و در چارچوب ان به مشتريان تسهيلاتي را پرداخت مي‌کند كه مي‌توانند در عين دريافت وام ازدواج، از اين طرح ويژه نيز بهره‌مند شوند.
