«جامعه‌شناسی اثبات ریاضی»
این اثر می‌کوشد با ذکر پژوهش‌های موردی تاریخی نشان دهد «اثبات» مفهومی صلب و مطلق نیست، بلکه در طول تاریخ تغییر کرده است. عوامل این تغییر و تحول نه صرفا پژوهش‌های ریاضی بلکه عوامل جامعه شناختی نیز بوده است که گاه بسیار مؤثرتر از عوامل ریاضی بوده‌اند. کتاب از شش فصل تشکیل شده است: آغاز یک بحران، هندسه محافظه‌کارانه علیه هندسه مدرنیستی، انقلاب نااقلیدسی، ریاضی‌دان رمانتیک، صورت‌گرایی علیه شهودگرایی و مرگ اثبات.
کتاب جامعه‌شناسی اثبات ریاضی دارای دو ویژگی بسیار چشمگیر و قابل ستایش است. نخست این‌که موضوع آن ازجمله موضوعات نو ظهور و خط مقدمی تفکر و اندیشه جامعه‌شناختی و فلسفی معاصر است. در این مرز مشترک میان جامعه‌شناسی و فلسفه هنوز مبانی و اصول جاافتاده اجماع‌شده‌ای به وجود نیامده و آثاری که صرفاً مبنای پژوهشی داشته باشد بسیار کم و نادر است. این وضع دشواری و ناهمواری قلمروی را آشکار می‌کند که نویسنده شجاعانه و البته محتاطانه وارد آن شده است. ویژگی برجسته دیگر کتاب نحوه مواجهه فکورانه و غیرمقلدانه نویسنده با موضوع است. صرف‌نظر از این‌که از نظر بنده یا هر فرد دیگری چه انتقاداتی می‌تواند در نقد و بررسی مفصل کتاب مطرح باشد، ظهور این قبیل آثار نوآورانه‌ی پژوهشی در فضای به‌شدت مقلدانه‌ی مدرنیستی ـ سیانتیستیِ جامعه‌ی فکری معاصر ایران رویدادی است بدیع، امیدبخش و سزاوار تحسین بسیار.
کتاب «جامعه شناسی اثبات ریاضی» تألیف دکتر غلامحسین مقدم حیدری به همت نشر نی در 171 صفحه و به بهای ۱۵ هزار تومان منتشر شد.
