سرکنسول عراق در مشهد گفت: دست‌هایی پشت پرده در پی اختلاف‌افکنی بین مردم عراق و ایران و جدا کردن این دو ملت از هم است و همان‌ اشراری که جوانان عراقی را می‌کشند همان‌ها نیز کنسولگری ایران را آتش می‌زنند.

به گزارش ایرنا، احمد قیس روز شنبه در دیدار با جمعی از طلاب و روحانیون حوزه‌های علمیه مشهد افزود: عراق، مرز جغرافیایی گسترده و همچنین مشترکات فرهنگی و مذهبی بسیاری با ایران و مردم این کشور دارد و در مراسم اربعین حسینی هم مردم عراق بهترین استقبال را از زائران ایرانی انجام دادند.

وی با بیان اینکه خدمت رسانی به چهار میلیون زائر ایرانی به بهترین صورت و با دقت به همه جوانب و ظرافتها انجام شد ادامه داد: مردم عراق با زائران ایرانی همانند یک صاحبخانه رفتار کردند از این رو با عقل و منطق سازگار نیست که کسانی که چنین خدمتی به ایرانی‌ها در عراق انجام دادند بیایند و کنسولگری ایران را آتش بزنند.

سرکنسول عراق در مشهد گفت: از مردم ایران تشکر می کنیم که با بصیرت کامل حساب مردم عراق را از اشرار و بدخواهان ارتباط و دوستی دو ملت جدا می‌کنند و  همان طور که ما در عراق در حرم امام حسین(ع) برای عراق، همسایگان و محبان عراق دعا می‌کنیم شما نیز در حرم امام رضا(ع) برای مردم عراق دعا کنید.

نماینده طلاب و روحانیون مشهد هم در این دیدار گفت: مقام معظم رهبری فرمودند که ملت عراق مردمی شریف و کریم هستند و ما هم حساب ملت عراق را از بدخواهان دوستی ملت ایران و عراق جدا می‌دانیم و اعلام می‌کنیم دوستی و وحدت مردم این دو کشور همچنان پابرجاست و بیش از پیش تقویت خواهد شد.

حجت الاسلام مجید فاطمی ارفع افزود: بعد از حرکت شرارت آمیز آتش زدن کنسولگری ایران در نجف احساس شد که وضعیت وحدت دو ملت ممکن است متزلزل شود و برای اثبات این که آن حرکت ربطی به مردم عراق نداشت و مربوط به اشرار است در یک حرکت مردمی اعلام می‌کنیم که این حرکت و کارهایی که در عراق علیه ایران انجام شده از پیش تعیین شده و خواسته بدخواهان دو ملت است.

وی ادامه داد: دست‌های تفرقه‌افکن می‌خواهد ایران و عراق را از هم جدا کند اما ما آمده ایم که وحدت و دوستی خود را با مردم عراق اعلام کنیم.
