امیدواریم در اعزامی تیم ملی نماینده داشته باشیم
رئیس هیئت شمشیر بازی خراسان رضوی در خصوص هدف اصلی این هیئت برای سال ۹۷ اظهار کرد: رقابت‌های قهرمانی کشور مرداد ۹۷ برگزارمی‌شود و ۸ نفر برتر به اردوی تیم ملی دعوت خواهند شد شمشیربازان مشهدی نیز پتانسیل حضور در جمع نفرات برتر را دارند.
علی یعقوبیان تصریح کرد: سال گذشته برای نخستین بار در تاریخ استان در لیگ برتر و تنها در اسلحه اپه شرکت داشتیم ولی امسال توانستیم در ۳ اسلحه شرکت کنیم که به نوعی ظرفیت و فضای خوبی برای ایجاد انگیزه و رقابت در شمشیربازان استان و شهر مشهد به وجود آمد.
اعتماد به شمشیربازان نونهال و نوجوان
وی در ادامه افزود: ما می توانستیم از شهرهای دیگر شمشیربازان قدرت‌مند و یا با بازیکن خارجی در لیگ برتر شمشیر بازی حضور پیدا کنیم و مقام کسب کنیم اما هدف ما در این دو سال تنها کسب نتیجه در لیگ برتر نبود وبیشتر آماده سازی تیم استان ، مطرح بود. به همین خاطر در راستای هدف‌گذاری هایمان در استان تنها با ورزشکاران بومی مشهد در لیگ حضور پیدا کردیم.
یعقوبیان خاطرنشان کرد: این بومی گرایی باعث شد تا در رده نونهالان در چند دوره پیاپی قهرمان شویم حالا همان نونهالان به رده نو جوانان وجوانان رسیده و تیم را تشکیل داده‌اند. درست است امسال در لیگ نتیجه نگرفتیم اما در مرداد ماه سال آینده که مسابقات قهرمانی کشور برگزار می‌شود قطعا می‌توانیم از شهر مشهد در تیم ملی نماینده داشته باشیم و این نشان از اعتماد ما به شمشیربازان نونهال و نوجوان دارد.
وضعیت رو به پیشرفت
یعقوبیان در خصوص رشد این رشته در استان عنوان کرد: شرایط شمشیر بازی در استان روند رو به رشد در پیش گرفته است. ما دو سالن اختصاصی شمشیربازی در مجموعه‌های ورزشی کوثر( صدر) و تختی مشهد داریم که تمرینات را به صورت روزانه و منظم پیگیری می‌کنیم. هدف گذاری های مناسبی انجام شده و ما امید به کسب نتیجه داریم.
وی علت عدم فعالیت شهرستان‌ها را نبود مربی و سخت افزار دانست و افزود: در حال حاضر نمی‌توانیم استعدادیابی را در شهرستان ها انجام دهیم چرا که مستلزم هزینه و سرمایه‌گذاری است و همچنین در این رشته با کمبود مربی و سخت افزار مواجه هستیم و این بستر تاکنون در هیچ استانی فراهم نشده است ،به همین خاطر تمام تمرکزمان مشهد است.
یعقوبیان خاطرنشان کرد: اولین آکادمی اختصاصی شمشیر بازی را سال گذشته در مشهد افتتاح کردیم و توانستیم میزبان اردوی تیم ملی بزرگسالان با حضور دو کشور ازبکستان و روسیه باشیم وامسال نیز در هفته گذشته میزبان اردوی تیم ملی در سه رده سنی نونهالان، جوانان و بزرگسالان در همان آکادمی بودیم.
