غربالگری ژنتیک در لیست خدمات پیش از ازدواج
رئیس گروه پیشگیری و مبارزه با بیماریهای غیرواگیر دانشگاه‌علوم‌پزشکی مشهد گفت: غربالگری ژنتیک به لیست خدمات رایگان قبل از ازدواج در مناطق زیر پوشش این دانشگاه در استان خراسان رضوی افزوده شد.
بابک اقبالی در این رابطه افزود: غربالگری ژنتیک قبل از ازدواج برای نخستین بار در کشور به طور آزمایشی در مشهد اجرا و به تدریج در سایر مناطق زیر پوشش دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهد و سپس کشور انجام خواهد شد.
وی بیان کرد: آموزش‌های پیش از ازدواج و غربالگری بیماری تالاسمی از جمله خدماتی است که تاکنون برای زوجین قبل از ازدواج انجام می شده و از این پس غربالگری ژنتیک نیز به این خدمات افزوده شده است.
وی افزود: تمام زوجینی که قصد ازدواج دارند برای پیشگیری از به دنیا آوردن فرزندانی با نقص ژنتیک، باید قبل از ازدواج غربالگری ژنتیک شده و تحت مشاوره ژنتیک قرار گیرند که اگر در معرض خطر باشند برای انجام آزمایش های تخصصی ژنتیک معرفی می شوند.
وی تاکید کرد: انجام غربالگری و مشاوره ژنتیک رایگان است ولی هزینه آزمایش های ژنتیک را زوجین متقاضی باید بپردازند.
او خاطرنشان کرد: هم اکنون سه تا پنج درصد نوزادان متولد شده در خراسان رضوی و کشور دارای بیماری های ژنتیک هستند، به طوریکه سالانه 50 تا 70 هزار نوزاد بیمار در کشور متولد می شوند.
اقبالی بالا رفتن سن ازدواج را از علل افزایش بیماریهای ژنتیک و نقص زمان تولد در جامعه عنوان کرد و افزود: در قالب غربالگری ژنتیک اگر زوجین متقاضی در معرض خطر تولد نوزاد بیمار باشند، هشدارهای لازم به آنها داده شده و ضرورت آزمایش ژنتیک به آنان گوشزد می شود.
وی گفت: این غربالگری و مشاوره ژنتیک باعث تاخیر، عدم ازدواج یا ممنوعیت ازدواج نخواهد شد و فقط در صورت نیاز پیشنهاد می شود که مشاوره و مراقبت های لازم قبل از بارداری انجام شود.
