بلخاسب کجاست؟
اولین سوالی که در مورد خانه تاریخی بلخاست پرسیده می شود این است که بلخاست کجاست و اهمیت تاریخی اش به کجا بر می گردد؟ یکی از نکات جالب توجه درباره بافت قدیم مشهد کمبود آثار قابل توجه باقی مانده از عصر حاکمیت صفویان و افشاریان ایران است.امری که به گواه اهل تاریخ دلیل عمده آن عملکرد حاکمان ایران در ادوار بعد خاصه فتحعلی شاه قاجار میباشد زیرا که این شاه پس از فتح مشهد و برکنار کردن شاهرخ نوه نابینای نادر از سلطنت دستور تخریب تمامی بناهای مهم صفوی و نادری شهر به غیر از مجموعه حرم مطهر را داد و به همین دلیل هم ارگ حکومتی باشکوه چهارباغ مشهد که از عصر تیموریان به بعد همواره محل سکونت حاکم خراسان بود با خاک یکسان شد. مسئله فوق باعث شده تا بنا آثاری که ردپایی هر چند کمرنگ از دوران صفویان و افشاریان دارند، مورد توجه خاص اهل فرهنگ وتاریخ خراسان قرار گیرند. خانه مسکونی موسوم به «بلخاسب» واقع در خیابان نواب صفوی ۱۱ از این گروه است. خانهای که هرچند به عنوان یک اثر قاجاری در فهرست آثار ملی ایران ثبت شده اما صاحب كنوني آن یعنی نام غلامرضا بلخاسب ادعا میکند بخشی از بنا صفوی بوده و البته بخش قاجاری نیز در اصل بازسازی شده بنایی صفوی است. ادعایی که حداقل در همان بخشی که مالک آن را صفوی میداند با توجه به برخی از قراین و شواهد از جمله نوع گچ کاری باقی مانده در بخشی از بنا تا اندازهای قابل تامل است.البته اگر فرض را بر قاجاری بودن کامل خانه بلخاسب نیز بگیریم بازهم بنا دارای ارزشهای متعدد معماری بوده و میتواند مقصدی خوب برای زائرانی باشد که میخواهند دقایقی از زمان حضور خود در مشهد را به نادیدههای این شهر اختصاص دهند. زیباییهایی که شاید برترین آنها پس از آجرکاریهای زیبای نقش بسته بر یکی از دیوارهای حیاط خانه،نقاشیهای موجود بر دیوار اتاق نشیمن اصلی آن باشد. نقاشیهایی که به تنهایی هر کدام یک تابلو هنری هستند.خانه مسکونی بلخاست در تاریخ ۱۱ مرداد ۱۳۸۴ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۱۲۳۸۴ بهعنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیده است.
